The film is created entirely by hand-painted oil paintings and is based on 120 of van Gogh's famous works. The final version of the film will consist of 56,800 paintings, with each second of the film containing 12 paintings. The film features stars such as Saoirse Ronan and Aidan Turner and is set to premiere in 2016.
